About the position
The Clinic Medical Director at Valor Healthcare will oversee all clinical operations at the Bogalusa VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic. This role involves diagnosing and treating diseases related to internal organ systems, providing preventive care, and managing chronic diseases through routine examinations and testing. The position emphasizes a balanced work lifestyle with no on-call duties and weekends off.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all clinical aspects of the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC).
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems.
- Deliver preventive treatment for primary care needs.
- Manage chronic disease treatment through routine physical examinations and testing.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Internal Medicine or related field.
- Experience in a clinical leadership role, preferably in a primary care setting.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment skills for internal organ systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with veteran populations.
- Familiarity with community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC).
- Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
