About the position

The Internal Reporting Audit Manager role is a leadership position within the Regional Finance team at Holcim. This role is responsible for managing the external audit process, preparing standalone financial statements for subsidiaries, compiling parent financial statements, and providing support for mergers and acquisitions. The position also involves overseeing a team of financial specialists and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the external audit process for Holcim North American operations.
  • Lead the preparation of legal entity financial statements and notes disclosures.
  • Provide accounting policy expertise for Holcim (US), Holcim (Canada), and Aggregates Industries US.
  • Support the regional FP&A team with ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Prepare statutory/stand-alone financial statements under US GAAP & SEC regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Provide support for due diligence work required for M&A.
  • Coordinate acquisition accounting and prepare purchase price accounting documentation.
  • Oversee a team of Financial Specialists, providing guidance and training.
  • Work on special projects like restructuring programs and new ASC implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of accounting and financial management experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including controls and standards.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or construction industry is preferred.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business with a major in Accounting and Finance.
  • CPA or equivalent recognized accounting designation.
  • Knowledge of accounting within the manufacturing and/or construction industry.
