About the position

The International Admissions Advisor will be responsible for representing Illinois Institute of Technology at public, recruitment and alumni events, counseling of prospective students for higher education to Illinois Institute of Technology and working with our operations staff for the understanding of application processes and requirements, credential evaluation, and decision making. This position will be an integral member of the team and assist in meeting enrollment goals as well as establishing and deepening relationships with campus community members, guidance counselors, placement offices, prospective student, parents and channel partners. This will include visits to local schools, universities, channel partners, and other recruitment and yield activities, both in-person and virtually. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of International Recruitment, the International Admissions Advisor will be responsible for representing Illinois Institute of Technology on a full-time basis within their assigned territories.

Responsibilities

• Represent Illinois Institute of Technology at public, recruitment, and alumni events.
• Counsel prospective students regarding higher education opportunities at Illinois Institute of Technology.
• Work with operations staff to understand application processes and requirements.
• Assist in credential evaluation and decision making.
• Meet enrollment goals and establish relationships with campus community members, guidance counselors, placement offices, prospective students, parents, and channel partners.
• Conduct visits to local schools, universities, and channel partners for recruitment activities, both in-person and virtually.

Requirements

• Experience in admissions or recruitment in higher education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with application processes and credential evaluation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with international students.
• Knowledge of Illinois Institute of Technology programs and offerings.
