About the position

The International Architectural Designer at Taco Bell is a key role within the Architecture & Design (A&D) team, responsible for transforming landscapes globally by applying brand standards and innovative concepts to site-specific needs. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and make a significant impact in sustainable architecture. The designer will report to the Sr. Design Manager and work closely with various departments to ensure high-quality design solutions that meet international standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed creative layouts and design solutions using CAD software to enhance brand experience and site potential.
  • Ensure all designs comply with international building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
  • Review drawings for compliance and manage approvals through the Taco Bell project review system.
  • Coordinate communication with internal departments and external stakeholders for project alignment and resolution.
  • Conduct meetings with external business and franchise partners regularly.
  • Develop standard tools such as visual guides, templates, and playbooks to assist in design processes.
  • Assist the Design Manager with renderings, 3D models, and presentation graphics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with global franchisee partners to understand their needs and budget constraints.
  • Be flexible to meet with international business partners outside of standard working hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is required; background in graphic design is a plus.
  • 3+ years of industry and international experience in the design process.
  • Experience with architectural software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Sketchup.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Ability to create and read architectural drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced corporate environment.
