International Aviation Specialist

About the position

The International Aviation Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the logistics of air export and import shipments, ensuring timely and compliant handling of cargo. This position involves coordinating various aspects of international shipping, including communication with multiple stakeholders and tracking shipments to meet time-sensitive demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of air exportation and importation, including master airwaybill creation, house airwaybill creation, and proper air carrier selection
• Closely track and trace all international export and import cargo
• Update milestones in CargoWise
• Communicate daily with airline, vendors, truckers, customers, sales representatives, and overseas offices
• Respond to internal and external emails and requests in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance is always met for internal and external rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• 1-3 years' experience in international export and import operations
• CargoWise knowledge is preferred
• Must be able to work after hours and weekend shifts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
