About the position

The Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of International Business Development Coordinator. This position is pivotal in coordinating operational activities and managing specific functions that support the International Business Development initiatives of the office. The coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring a dashboard of key success measures to achieve objectives aligned with the Governor's Office of Economic Development. This role requires a proactive approach to organizing regular meetings, preparing reports, and making recommendations aimed at improving team effectiveness and efficiency. In addition to operational coordination, the International Business Development Coordinator will develop descriptive programmatic materials and collateral to support grant applications and federal funding for special projects. Maintaining current knowledge of agency priorities and policies is essential to ensure that program services are coordinated and aligned with the overall goals of the office. The coordinator will also liaise with the communications team to optimize the marketing of international program resources, events, and successes to both external and internal audiences. Regular meetings with management will be a key responsibility, where the coordinator will report on progress and accomplishments as outlined in the strategic plan and recommend necessary changes. The role also involves coordinating internal and external requests for information, data, or research regarding program topics, assisting with organizing inbound and outbound trade missions, and acting in a supporting role to the International Business Development Director on all related projects. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the office.

Responsibilities

  • Acts in a supporting role to the International Business Development Director on all projects related to International Business Development.
  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international affairs, economics, business administration, or closely related field.
  • Three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including cultivation of internal and external relationships; public presentations and written reports;
  • Flexible and able to multitask while managing competing deadlines and priorities;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
