About the position

The International Channel Marketing Manager for Golf Marketing will quickly understand the customer needs for international target markets while developing/executing plans to meet the needs of these markets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly build a strong understanding of Rain Bird's International Golf markets, an aptitude for developing marketing materials, an understanding of irrigation products, and demonstrate creativity in their ability to solve problems that drive sales growth. The selected candidate will design, execute, and manage marketing and sales initiatives to grow the international business focused on customer groups such as distributors, superintendents, general managers, contractors, specifiers, and corporate accounts and buying groups.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Golf Marketing Team on go-to-market strategies, focusing on International Golf marketing activities, including but not limited to campaign, strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Optimize product launches to achieve the product goals and objectives.
  • Develop competitive, customer, and end-user market expertise to lead marketing, sales, and product efforts for the SBUs.
  • Drive international marketing strategy, including creating clear, focused, and compelling messages to targeted customers.
  • Work closely with Golf Product Management and third-party agencies to deliver pull-through sales of Rain Bird products and increase global market share.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Product Management team to influence New Product Development, drive international sales, and gain market share.
  • Research, develop, and deliver compelling marketing materials, value propositions, and promotions to distribution and sales to maximize global sales and market share growth.
  • Oversight and management of translated materials for international markets.
  • Support product marketing programs and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing to include B2B.
  • Entrepreneurial - self-motivated, team player, data driven, enthusiastic and creative.
  • A highly creative individual who sees problems as an opportunity to try something new.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive marketing strategies derived from an analytical analysis of markets.
  • Demonstrated success in utilizing influencing skills to generate results from people with no direct reporting relationship to this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, build, and motivate teams in a business environment.
  • International business relations experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA with an emphasis in marketing is highly desirable.
  • 5 - 10 year's experience in B2B marketing environment.
  • Understanding of the irrigation market.
  • Experience working in a B2B manufacturing organization.
