About the position
The International Exchange Student Coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating cultural exchanges by connecting foreign students with American host families. This part-time, contract position allows for a flexible schedule and primarily remote work, with some face-to-face interactions required within the local community. The coordinator is responsible for supporting students and families throughout the exchange process, ensuring a successful and enriching experience for all parties involved.
Responsibilities
- Recruit local families interested in hosting exchange students, fostering cultural understanding and friendship.
- Engage proactively in marketing through social media and other platforms.
- Guide families through the approval process with care and expertise.
- Collaborate closely with local schools to facilitate smooth student placements.
- Conduct engaging orientations for host families and student orientations.
- Provide attentive monitoring and support to host families and students throughout the school year.
- Coordinate volunteer activities to enrich the exchange experience.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma or GED
- Fluency in English
