About The Position

The International Operations Agent at Crane Worldwide Logistics is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of cargo globally. This role involves direct interaction with clients, customs, and agents to facilitate export, import, and customs clearance processes. The agent will track and trace cargo, provide accurate billing information to the accounting department, and maintain communication with clients and other company branches to ensure high levels of service and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience in logistics or a similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of rules, regulations, governance, and documentation preparations for imports and exports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Deal directly with clients, customs, and agents to ensure the quickest and best movement of cargo throughout the world.
• Prepare documents necessary to complete export, import, and customs clearance processes.
• Track and trace cargo as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery.
• Provide the accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
• Communicate with clients regarding the disposition of freight, including tracking, routing, dispatching, and rate quotations.
• Correspond with other company branches and agents to ensure excellent service execution and client satisfaction.
• Seek the most profitable mode of shipment while meeting client requirements for freight movement.
