About the position

The International Program and Recruitment Coordinator at the University of San Diego is a full-time, temporary position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2025. This role is crucial for the Division of Professional and Continuing Education, focusing on international efforts to enhance the fiscal performance of programs and strengthen relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The coordinator will manage agents and collaboration agreements with businesses and institutions of higher education, creating unique brand promises and attributes that resonate with the target audience for each program or degree. This position involves developing compelling messaging campaigns and overseeing the campaign process with all stakeholders involved. In this role, the coordinator will facilitate the management of university partnership programs and the recruitment of international students, contributing significantly to the institution's diversity and global engagement initiatives. The position demands excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex international recruitment processes. The coordinator will generate effective unique positioning for existing programs and those targeted for launch, planning and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications program aimed at increasing student enrollments and revenue while positively shaping the University of San Diego's identity and visibility within the global community.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement effective international recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinate the International Recruitment calendar and participate in recruitment events such as informational sessions and college fairs.
  • Work with the Marketing department to generate leads and applications through advertising activities.
  • Conduct timely follow-up activities for lead inquiries and respond to new student inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of effective international student recruitment strategies and university academic programs.
  • Deliver professional presentations to recruit new students and increase awareness of the university.
  • Utilize CRM and student data systems to track and manage leads, prospects, and applicants.
  • Collaborate with International Student Services to transition students effectively.
  • Assess prospective students to ensure they have the academic potential and financial ability to remain enrolled until graduation.
  • Stay informed on US immigration regulations related to F-1 visas and other non-immigrant visa categories.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with educational consultants, international schools, and embassies to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Coordinate memorandums of understanding with partner universities abroad.
  • Plan and coordinate details for agency support and collateral needs.
  • Build relationships with potential university partners and businesses abroad.
  • Assist in identifying and selecting international program and recruitment agents.
  • Document agent conversation rates and recommend extensions or terminations of agreements accordingly.
  • Implement strategic program and recruitment plans and serve as the primary contact for university representatives and agents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, education, business, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and build relationships with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of international education systems, admissions requirements, and visa regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in international relations, education, business, or a related field preferred.
