About the position

In this role, you will partner closely with the product team, global marketing, launch/sales enablement, and internal stakeholders across Motorola Solutions to drive our strategy, plan for adoption and accelerated growth of our portfolio of solutions including the Noggin and Rave family of products as well as key partners like Alertus. You will have to analyze industry use cases, understand different customer needs, SaaS business models, and recommend offers to reach all customers that communicate the value of our products. We're looking for someone who can develop innovative approaches with shared value for our customers, our partners, and Motorola Solutions. The International Strategy & Sales Enablement Manager for Critical Event Management & Mass Notification Solutions (ISSEM) is a key focus area for our business and includes responsibility for the International region. The ISSEM will lead the effort in gathering market size information, customer inputs, and sales team inputs to support creating the core materials needed to equip our sales teams to successfully sell our Critical Event Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Mass Notification solutions internationally. You will lead strategic initiatives to expand/grow sales of Critical Event Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Mass Notification solutions internationally, including in the phases of incident awareness, incident management and post-incident resolution. This role requires strategic planning for the introduction and launch of products aligned to the Motorola Solutions Video & Software organization. You will identify and champion market research efforts to ensure value propositions that will exceed our customer expectations, while also maintaining a pulse on the competitive landscape and overall market trends to define market leading solutions. Additionally, you will gather and analyze the voice of the customer and sales to develop solution requirements, define a go to market strategy that aligns and enables growth in both our government and enterprise businesses, and analyze business opportunities to grow the portfolio both organically and inorganically. You will maintain and communicate product solution roadmaps while working with internal product managers, sales teams, finance teams, and customer focus groups. Your role will also involve developing the customer value proposition to positively differentiate our product in the market and supporting sales opportunities during the needs analysis process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives to expand/grow sales of Critical Event Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Mass Notification solutions internationally.
  • Strategic planning for the introduction and launch of products aligned to the Motorola Solutions Video & Software organization.
  • Identify and champion market research efforts to ensure value propositions that will exceed our customer expectations.
  • Research and maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape and overall market trends to define market leading solutions.
  • Gather and analyze the voice of the customer and sales to develop solution requirements.
  • Define a go to market strategy that aligns and enables growth in both our government and enterprise businesses.
  • Analyze business opportunities to grow the portfolio both organically and inorganically.
  • Maintain and communicate product solution roadmaps while working with internal product managers, sales teams, finance teams, and customer focus groups.
  • Lead the strategic long range planning process for assigned products.
  • Develop the customer value proposition to positively differentiate our product in the market.
  • Define and communicate product positioning and key product messages to regional sales teams and work closely with Marketing Communications on the content of product marketing collateral.
  • Support and deliver customer presentations.
  • Become a regional market expert on the solutions.
  • Support sales opportunities during the needs analysis process, confirm that Motorola Solutions' Critical Event Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Mass Notification solutions meet the prospect's requirements and assist in technical qualifications.
  • Occasionally assist in the tender-response process through the creation of written RFP responses.

Requirements

  • 4+ years progressive experience with a strong understanding of Critical Event Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Mass Notification markets and products used by government, critical infrastructure, transportation and enterprise customers.
  • Prior experience in strategy or sales enablement roles is desirable.
  • Delivering Product Demos to end users.
  • Engaging and building relationships with end users.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA a plus.
  • Strong business analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS, cloud technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends.
  • Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and follow-through.
  • Deals well with ambiguity and identifies systemic approaches to solving problems.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to deeply assess the competition and drive perception-shifting efforts that differentiate Motorola Solutions in compelling ways.
  • Highly skilled in presenting insights in a concise, effective and influential manner to a variety of audiences, including senior executives on a regular basis.
  • Proven track record of collaboration within a team and meeting schedule deadlines.
  • Ability to influence members external to their department.
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with multi-discipline, cross-cultural teams.
