About the position

The International Student Ambassador role at City University of Seattle is a part-time position designed for current students to support and guide new and existing international students. The ambassador will assist with onboarding processes, provide information about campus resources, and help students integrate into the university community through various engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a resource for new and current international students, providing support, guidance, and information about campus resources, policies, and student life.
  • Assist with the onboarding process, such as orientation programs, campus tours, and settling into university life.
  • Help international students integrate into the campus community through engagement activities and social events.
  • Respond to emails, inquiries, and concerns from prospective and current international students.
  • Help plan and execute events such as welcome luncheons on campus.
  • Offer peer-to-peer guidance to help students overcome cultural, academic, and social challenges.

Requirements

  • Must be a current CityU student in good academic standing, with an international background or strong intercultural experience.
  • Proficient in English, with additional language skills considered an asset.
  • Understanding of and respect for diverse cultures and perspectives.
  • Familiar with campus resources, programs, and student services.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse groups and individuals.
