As an International Tax Counsel, you will leverage your extensive experience in tax to facilitate effective tax decision-making for Googlers, ensuring compliance while also streamlining and automating tax processes and systems. Your role will involve managing a variety of tax planning issues for Alphabet and Google, which will help accelerate business objectives and address complex tax technical issues that impact the company. In this position, you will be responsible for researching tax rules and regulations, applying these rules to specific business facts, and drafting memoranda and communications to convey key tax issues to management and other team members. You will assist in the implementation of legal transactions that support business objectives, providing international tax advice on matters such as distributions, intercompany loans, and other funding activities. Additionally, you will advise on special technical projects and collaborate with local finance and legal teams while managing external service providers. Your expertise will also be crucial in designing and reviewing processes to meet technical tax requirements, assisting with audit inquiries, and contributing to quarterly and year-end international tax provision and compliance processes.
