About the position

The International Tax Manager at Amazon will focus on U.S. international direct tax planning and documentation, particularly within the AWS sector. This role involves collaborating with business teams and tax department members to understand transactions and provide guidance on tax implications. The manager will document tax technical advice regarding U.S. and local country tax impacts to support reporting, compliance, and tax controversy analysis.

Responsibilities

• Focus on U.S. international direct tax planning and documentation for new initiatives and ongoing business launches within AWS.
• Collaborate with business teams and tax department members to understand transactions and provide guidance.
• Document tax technical advice on U.S. and local country tax impacts to support reporting and compliance.
• Engage in day-to-day tactical details while thinking strategically about tax initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
• Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department.
• CPA or J.D.
