About the position

The International Tax Manager at our regional CPA firm plays a crucial role in advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and developing optimal worldwide tax strategies. This position involves extensive research, client communication, and collaboration with multinational companies to navigate complex international tax laws.

Responsibilities

  • Research relevant tax issues and provide resolutions/recommendations.
  • Stay updated on developments and changes in international tax law and accounting procedures.
  • Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations.
  • Coordinate U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy.
  • Communicate and interface with U.S. and foreign clients to ensure their best interests are achieved.
  • Assist in the delivery of proposals for engagements and maintain a growing business network.
  • Develop a reputation within the International Tax profession.
  • Tax planning and review of individual returns and partnerships in real estate ownership, operation, financing, and disposition.

Requirements

  • CPA required.
  • MS in Taxation and/or LLM is a plus.
  • 3+ years experience working in tax for a public accounting firm or comparable industry experience.
  • Experience with investment partnerships, real estate development, dealer issues, S-Corporations, and individual taxation is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of GoSystem and/or ProSystem is a plus.
