About the position

The International Trade Compliance Engineer at Lockheed Martin plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, specifically focusing on jurisdiction and classification needs for the Sikorsky Line of Business. This full-time remote position involves collaborating with engineering teams to interpret and apply ITC regulations, conduct reviews of technical documents, and support international business development efforts. The engineer will also assist in the development of export license applications and provide guidance on technology transfer policies.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day jurisdiction and classification needs for the Sikorsky Line of Business.
• Partner closely with engineering and business teams to ensure compliance with ITC regulations.
• Determine export jurisdiction and classification of end-items, subsystems, components, and parts.
• Review and interpret technical documents to determine export control status and document marking requirements.
• Assist in the development of requests to the U.S. government for proviso reconsideration or recommendations for system redesign.
• Research, analyze, and interpret engineering designs across multiple disciplines.
• Act as a liaison between various departments to provide engineering analysis and interpretive guidance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated familiarity with Aerospace technologies and products.
• Extensive experience applying ITC regulations to determine jurisdiction and classification of products.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years with a related Master's degree.
