About the position

The International Treasury Analyst at Burlington is responsible for managing approximately $1 billion in merchandise and transportation payments. This role involves providing financial and operational analytical support, ensuring accurate auditing, GL coding, and processing of payments in accordance with contract terms. The analyst will create and analyze reports to support accrual and forecasting processes, assist in the monthly close process, and collaborate with internal and external auditors for compliance reviews. Additionally, the position requires managing relationships with vendors and carriers, processing payments, and supporting various finance department initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage approximately $1 billion in merchandise and transportation payments.
  • Provide daily/monthly financial and operational analytical support.
  • Audit, GL code, and process payments within contract terms from vendors and third-party providers.
  • Create, track, and analyze reports to support accrual and forecasting processes.
  • Support the finance department with accurate and timely monthly close processes, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits regarding SOX and Customs compliance.
  • Process merchandise letter of credit and open account payments with banks.
  • Track all transactions for merchandise payments to internal finance teams.
  • Audit and pro-rate costs against purchase orders within containers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or three years of accounting or financial experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to meet operating deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SOX compliance.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, including advanced Excel and Teams Sheets.
  • Experience with report writer or query applications.
