About the position
The 2024 Summer Intern position at AgTexas offers students a full-time, paid opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the credit and lending teams. The internship runs from June 5th to July 28th, 2024, and includes travel throughout the AgTexas territory to various branch locations, allowing interns to interact with personnel and borrowers. This role is designed to provide exposure to various functions within the organization, including credit analysis, loan servicing, and portfolio management, culminating in a project presentation to the Executive Management Team.
Responsibilities
- Engage in daily duties of AgTexas' credit and lending teams.
- Travel to various AgTexas branch locations.
- Interact with personnel and borrowers of the association.
- Participate in a project defined by AgTexas, culminating in a final report and presentation.
- Gain exposure to credit analysis, operations, loan servicing, lending services, portfolio management, appraisal, and crop insurance.
Requirements
- Coursework in finance, business, agricultural economics, and/or accounting preferred.
- Position available for Junior or Senior undergraduate and graduate students.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
