About the position

The AI / GenAI Engineer internship at ASML focuses on understanding and enhancing the enterprise data foundation to support business growth and improve data integration processes. Interns will engage with business clients, contribute to data governance, and participate in the project lifecycle, gaining hands-on experience with data management and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of data foundational objects in Denodo and SQL, promoting them to production.
• Document and log existing data assets and their connections to support the Data Governance program using Collibra.
• Create visibility to drive simplification and adoption of data assets as part of the data governance program.
• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to testing and production deployment.
• Communicate results both verbally and in writing.
• Actively participate in Scrum and SAFe rituals and contribute to an agile organization.
• Document and present findings, culminating in an end-of-summer presentation.

Requirements

• Graduate student majoring in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Information Systems with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Expertise with data integration tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Informatica.
• Experience with structured content and databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and test automation frameworks like Jira, Jenkins, and Cucumber.
• Experience with Data Virtualization, Data Modeling, and Data Management techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Denodo or comparable data virtualization development skills.
• Programming skills in Python, Java, or other relevant languages.
• Strong understanding of APIs and familiarity with tools like Postman and REST client applications.
