About the position

This internship position at ASML US focuses on supporting the Chief Data Office (CDO) by extending and sustaining the enterprise data foundation. The role involves working at the intersection of data science and software engineering, with a focus on developing business intelligence solutions and collaborating with team members to analyze business requirements. Interns will gain hands-on experience in data visualization, analysis, and reporting while contributing to the company's mission of improving business processes and insights.

Responsibilities

• Work with the analysis requestor to understand the analysis required and the mode of delivery.
• Communicate results both verbally and in writing.
• Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the organization.
• Provide reports to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with team members to collect data and execute the company's mission.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend implementations to management and executives.
• Create and maintain documentation including design, requirements, and user manuals.
• Identify development needs to streamline and improve operations for efficiency and profitability.
• Work with department technical lead on analysis methods and tools for specific projects.
• Conduct timely technical risk assessments.
• Participate in relevant Scrum and SAFe rituals and contribute to the agile organization.
• Document and present findings, including an end-of-summer presentation about internship achievements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's/Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Exposure to knowledge graphs and how to visualize and query them.
• Proficiency in computing languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, React, and Tableau for data manipulation and visualization.
• Curiosity about data and a passion for uncovering insights from data sets.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles to assist in deploying prototypes.
• Working knowledge of data science, data mining, database management, and programming.
• Familiarity with business process modeling and analysis.
• Understanding of statistical computing and graphics programming languages.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing, preferably Azure.

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in front-end engineering.
• Experience with graphs and algorithms that leverage them.
