About the position

This internship position at ASML US focuses on supporting the Chief Data Office (CDO) by extending and sustaining the enterprise data foundation. The role involves working at the intersection of data science and software engineering, contributing to the development of business intelligence solutions, and collaborating with team members to analyze business requirements and improve processes. Interns will gain hands-on experience in data manipulation, visualization, and communication of analytical results, while also participating in agile practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work on prototyping and experimentation related to knowledge graphs.
• Discuss analysis requirements with requestors and communicate results verbally and in writing.
• Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the organization.
• Provide reports to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with team members to collect data and execute the company's mission.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend implementations to management and executives.
• Create and maintain documentation including design, requirements, and user manuals.
• Identify development needs to streamline and improve operations for efficiency and profitability.
• Work with department technical lead on analysis methods and tools for specific projects.
• Conduct timely technical risk assessments.
• Participate in Scrum and SAFe rituals and contribute to the agile transformation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's/Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
• Exposure to knowledge graphs and experience in visualizing and querying them.
• Proficiency in computing languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, React, and Tableau for data manipulation and visualization.
• Curiosity about data and a passion for uncovering insights from data sets.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles to assist in deploying prototypes.
• Working knowledge of data science, data mining, database management, and programming.
• Familiarity with business process modeling and analysis.
• Understanding of statistical computing and graphics programming languages.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing, preferably Azure.

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in front-end engineering.
• Experience with graphs and algorithms that leverage them.
