About the position

The Business Intelligence & Analytics Engineer internship at ASML is designed for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related fields. This 12-week on-site internship at the San Diego campus will provide hands-on experience in data science and software engineering, focusing on developing business intelligence solutions and enhancing the company's data foundation to support business growth and insights.

Responsibilities

• Work at the intersection of data science and software engineering to bring the knowledge graph to life.
• Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the organization.
• Provide reports to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with team members to collect data and execute the company's mission.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend implementations to management and executives.
• Create and maintain documentation including design, requirements, and user manuals.
• Identify development needs to streamline and improve operations for efficiency and profitability.
• Work with department technical lead on analysis methods and tools for specific projects.
• Conduct timely technical risk assessments.
• Participate in Scrum and SAFe rituals to contribute to an agile organization.
• Document and present findings, including an end-of-summer presentation about internship achievements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master's/Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related technical domain.
• Exposure to knowledge graphs and how to visualize and query them.
• Proficiency in computing languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, React, and Tableau for data manipulation and visualization.
• Curiosity about data and a passion for uncovering insights from data sets.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles to assist in deploying prototypes.
• Working knowledge of data science, data mining, database management, and programming.
• Familiarity with business process modeling and analysis.
• Understanding of statistical computing and graphics programming languages.
• Experience with Cloud computing, preferably Azure.

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in front-end engineering.
• Basic engineering skills for prototyping and experimentation.
