About the position

The internship in Data Acquisition and Instrumentation at ASML involves integrating a new system of sensors and NI Data acquisition modules in a laboratory setting. The intern will work on capturing signals from various sensors, determining the Labview software architecture for data display and logging, and implementing automated processes. This role is designed for students pursuing a Master's degree in relevant fields and will take place on-site at the San Diego campus for 12 weeks during the summer of 2025.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of phenomena surrounding instrumentation, data acquisition, and coding
• Install and troubleshoot instrumentation & DAQ
• Write code that integrates, displays, and logs signals
• Write code that generates warnings, and takes action
• Generate schedule of work completion
• Document instrumentation and signal layout, as built
• Report results in a specified format, get peer feedback, and present to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Working on a Masters Degree in Physics, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• Experience with Labview coding
• Experience with instrumentation, low voltage signals (analog & digital) including ethernet, serial, etc.
• Capability to install, troubleshoot, repair electric or flow connections
• Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents
• Strong analytical skills
