About the position
IAT Insurance Group is offering a summer internship for 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina, aimed at providing students with meaningful work experiences across various functional areas, particularly in Analytics and Business Intelligence. Interns will gain exposure to industry professionals, receive on-the-job training, and develop technical skills that enhance their career prospects. The internship is designed to foster professional growth and networking opportunities within the insurance sector.
Responsibilities
- Document complex business requirements and translate to technical coding steps/UI Design
- Query Data Warehouse Tables and Develop ETL Pipelines
- Design and Construct Scalable Data Models to be leveraged for Data Analysis and Visualization
- Visualize data by creating interactive reports and dashboards for Business Partners
Requirements
- Rising undergraduate Junior or Senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (Graduate Students also encouraged)
- Ability to work out of the Raleigh, North Carolina office
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business resources
- Willingness to learn
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently
- Above average computer skills
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring VISA sponsorship
Nice-to-haves
- SQL Coding Experience
- Exposure to Data Modeling/Database Design best practices
- Experience with Data Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
- Coursework in Data Analytics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science
