About the position

The Engineering Intern position at Eaton's ES AMER ARS division offers a unique opportunity for students to gain practical experience in engineering while developing leadership skills. This paid internship, lasting 8 to 12 weeks, is designed to provide hands-on experience in various engineering functions such as Design, Manufacturing, Lean/Continuous Improvement, and Quality. Interns will work on impactful projects, receive mentorship from Eaton leaders, and culminate their experience with a formal presentation showcasing their achievements.

Responsibilities

• Work on engineering projects that have a measurable impact on the business.
• Develop leadership competencies through training, networking, and coaching.
• Participate in practical manufacturing and operations experiences.
• Collaborate with Eaton leaders and other interns to enhance learning and development.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Candidate must be located within 50 miles of Lincoln, IL.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineering major in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering and technology.
• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Completion of sophomore year by the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
