Tetra Tech is seeking an intern focused on obtaining a 4-year degree in engineering or environmental science, with a particular interest in environmental compliance. This internship will be based in our Middletown, NY office, and we are looking for candidates who are available to start in May or June 2025. In this role, you will work under direct supervision, performing engineering and/or scientific tasks of a routine nature. You will be involved in a variety of technical projects, from design through investigation, compiling data for project reports, collecting and compiling field data, assisting in proposal efforts, documenting technical data for management review, and preparing labor/material estimates and design/permitting packages for clients. You will also be encouraged to provide innovative ideas to enhance our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering and/or scientific tasks of a routine nature under direct supervision.
  • Work on a variety of technical projects from design through investigation.
  • Compile data for project reports.
  • Collect and compile field data as required.
  • Assist in proposal efforts as directed.
  • Document technical data for management review.
  • Assist with the preparation of labor/material estimates and design/permitting packages for clients.
  • Provide other office duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental science.
  • Interest in environmental compliance and related issues.
  • Ability to work with industry professionals and learn about environmental challenges.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay of $19.00 - $21.00 an hour, commensurate with skill level and experience.
