About the position

The Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Internship at Fuss & O'Neill offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) fields. This 12-week paid summer program allows interns to work on diverse projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and develop technical skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities

  • Work on diverse projects, including commercial building HVAC design.
  • Perform pressure drop calculations, duct sizing, and pipe sizing.
  • Conduct field survey work to gather necessary data for design projects.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of engineers and technicians.
  • Engage in hands-on design of HVAC systems.
  • Prepare equipment layouts and designs using AutoCAD.
  • Participate in cost estimating for various mechanical systems.
  • Assist in construction administration tasks, ensuring proper implementation of designs.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Class project work related to MEP fields preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment
