About the position

The Robotics Engineer Internship at Dassault Systemes offers a unique opportunity for engineering students to gain hands-on experience in robotics applications development. Interns will work on simulation and offline programming of industrial robots, contributing to the rapid development of robot programs and the translation of simulations across various robot programming languages. This role emphasizes software development, mechanism modeling, and industrial robot simulation, providing a comprehensive learning experience in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications for rapid development of robot programs from product design.
• Create accurate simulations of robot programs and generate production robot programs.
• Translate simulations to and from 16 different robot programming languages.
• Work with C++ and VB.NET for software development.
• Model 3D mechanical designs of new robots.
• Write software to translate new features into robot languages.
• Develop algorithms to transform data for various robot languages.
• Automate testing of translation processes.
• Implement inverse kinematic solvers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Knowledge of Kinematics and strong aptitude in physics and trigonometry.
• Experience with C++, VB.NET, or another programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with 3D CAD and robotics simulation software.
• Familiarity with industrial robots.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Highly organized with critical attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and incorporate coaching.
