About the position

The UX Design Intern position at Emergent Holdings offers an exciting opportunity for students to develop their skills in user experience and visual design. Interns will engage in creating elegant and functional designs while gaining practical experience in a professional setting. This role emphasizes problem-solving through design, collaboration with teams, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design visually appealing and functional UX designs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on assigned topics.
• Attend unit, departmental, and corporate meetings as assigned.
• Manage multiple deadlines and complete miscellaneous assignments as assigned.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
• Use company software applications to complete assignments.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a relevant degree program or a graduate program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.
• Ability to work part-time during normal business hours for the winter with potential for a full-time summer internship.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with micro animations.
• Background in graphic design.
• Familiarity with UX/design tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Invision, Figma, and CS Suite.
