About the position

The UX Design Intern position at Emergent Holdings is designed for students who are passionate about creating elegant and user-friendly designs. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in UX and visual design while contributing to real projects that impact how users interact with software. Interns will work on developing their skills in design tools, creating pixel-perfect visual comps, and collaborating with teams to deliver effective design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems through elegant and clean designs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on assigned topics.
• Attend unit, departmental, and corporate meetings as assigned.
• Manage multiple deadlines and complete miscellaneous assignments as assigned.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
• Use company software applications to complete assignments.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a relevant degree program or a graduate program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.
• Ability to work part-time during normal business hours for the winter with potential for a full-time summer internship.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with or an interest in micro animations.
• A background in graphic design is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sketch, Zeplin, Invision, Figma, CS Suite, and other UX/Design tools.
