About the position

The UX Design Intern position at Emergent Holdings is designed for students who are passionate about creating elegant and user-friendly designs. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in UX and visual design while contributing to real projects that impact how users interact with software. Interns will work on various design tasks, collaborate with teams, and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems through elegant and clean designs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on assigned topics.
• Attend unit, departmental, and corporate meetings as assigned.
• Manage multiple deadlines and complete miscellaneous assignments as assigned.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
• Use company software applications to complete assignments.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a relevant degree program or a graduate program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.
• Ability to work part-time during normal business hours for the winter with potential for a full-time summer internship.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with or an interest in micro animations.
• A background in graphic design is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sketch, Zeplin, Invision, Figma, CS Suite, and other UX/Design tools.
