About the position

As an intern in electrical or computer engineering, you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that contributes to a safer, healthier, and more secure world. You will collaborate with a team to apply your academic knowledge and gain hands-on experience in various technical areas, including electronic warfare, communications, and rapid prototyping. This internship is designed to provide you with practical skills and insights that will be invaluable in your future career.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to develop, evaluate, and test solutions in electronic systems and engineering.
  • Apply knowledge in areas such as electronic warfare, antennas/electromagnetics, sensors/radar, and signal processing.
  • Engage in projects related to communications, SIGINT, spectrum, and position, navigation, and timing (PNT).
  • Participate in electronics and embedded security initiatives.
  • Contribute to rapid electronic and hardware prototyping and advanced manufacturing efforts.
  • Assist in maritime system development, acoustic & ocean modeling, SONAR system analysis, and transducer design.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering theory and familiarity with digital signal processing, wireless communications, computer architecture, and embedded software.
  • Sustained excellence in academic performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in applying electrical or computer engineering knowledge in an internship or research/lab position.
  • Hands-on skills in at least one programming language.
  • Demonstrated interest in serving the public.
