The Intervention Specialist/Licensed Special Education Teacher at Imagine Schools in Columbus, OH, is responsible for planning and delivering instruction tailored to the unique needs of special education students. This role requires the application of effective methodologies to enhance the development of sensory and perceptual motor skills, language, cognition, and memory. The teacher will employ special education strategies during instruction, focusing on improving students' social behaviors through techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement. In addition to delivering instruction, the specialist will modify the general education curriculum to accommodate special-needs students, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies. The approved-course curriculum must be implemented effectively, and the teacher will collaborate with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other professionals to develop individualized educational plans that promote each student's educational, physical, and social development.
