About The Position
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Palmer, AK. This role involves providing interventional cardiology coverage approximately two weeks per month on an ongoing basis. The position requires managing both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, including rounding and admissions. Key responsibilities include performing diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures. The physician will also participate in beeper call with a 30-minute response time and handle phone consults. Accurate documentation in Cerner and Athena EMR systems is essential.
Requirements
- Board Eligible
- Licensed in AK
- BLS, ACLS, ABLS certifications
- Fellowship required
Responsibilities
- Provide interventional cardiology coverage approximately 2 weeks per month, ongoing.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, including rounding and admissions.
- Perform diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures.
- Participate in beeper call with a 30-minute response time, handling phone consults as needed.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner and Athena EMR systems.
