About the position

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking an Interventional Cardiology physician to join our esteemed employed cardiology group, which is part of a leading faith-based not-for-profit health system. This position involves providing high-quality care at our hospitals and clinics located in the Kansas City Metro area. Our cardiology group is composed of a diverse team, including 8 Non-Invasive cardiologists, 5 Interventionalists, 2 Electrophysiologists, 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and 13 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The selected candidate will benefit from a guaranteed initial base salary complemented by a wRVU production component, ensuring that your hard work is rewarded. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality interventional cardiology care to patients at hospitals and clinics in the Kansas City Metro area.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of cardiologists and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities to stay current in the field of cardiology.
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the employed cardiology group through patient care and community outreach.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Kansas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients and team members.

  • Experience in a similar role within a hospital or healthcare system.
  • Fellowship training in advanced interventional procedures.
  • Interest in participating in clinical research or academic activities.
