About the position

The Interventional Oncology & Embolization Consultant at Boston Scientific is responsible for driving sales of medical devices within a defined territory. This role requires a strong clinical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The consultant will develop new accounts and expand existing ones to meet sales quotas, while promoting innovative products that aid in cancer treatment and vascular occlusion.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies based on product, competition, and pricing needs.
  • Analyze sales figures and reports to identify account needs and discuss issues with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Meet with hospital personnel to determine their needs and how BSC products can address them.
  • Observe procedures in the lab and operating room to understand physician and lab staff nuances.
  • Establish pricing packages that meet customer needs while adhering to company guidelines.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing feasible solutions.
  • Build relationships with hospital personnel to identify key purchasing decision makers.
  • Educate customers on the clinical usage of company products through presentations and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or equivalent combination of sales and education experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in medical device sales.
  • Strong clinical, analytical, and selling skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a large number of accounts.
