About the position

The Interventional Pain Management Physician will join a dynamic and growing medical team in Northern Virginia, focusing on providing individualized care for patients suffering from various pain conditions. This full-time position involves working in state-of-the-art facilities in Arlington and Fairfax, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive pain management solutions. The role emphasizes both conservative and interventional treatment approaches, aiming to restore patients' quality of life through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient exams and evaluations, including medical history and relevant imaging studies.
• Provide direct patient care, including diagnoses and treatment plans for a variety of pain types and conditions.
• Perform interventional procedures as medically necessary.
• Refer patients for imaging and consultations with other specialties as needed.
• Regularly reassess patients to determine the effectiveness of treatment and progress.
• Educate patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, post-procedure care, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate treatment plans with patients and other team members.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Management.
• MD or DO with a current/active medical license in Virginia.
