About the position

The Interventional Rad Tech II position at Harris Health System involves providing patient care and technical expertise in the operation of Interventional Radiology (IR) equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. This role also serves as a resource for lower-level Interventional Radiology Technologists and students, ensuring high standards of care and technical proficiency in the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of Interventional Radiology equipment.
• Act as a resource for lower-level Interventional Radiology Technologists and students.
• Ensure the safe and effective use of IR equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient care and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program.
• Valid MRT license by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required.
• Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• 2 years of experience as a staff IR Technologist.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced training or specialty in Interventional Radiology.
• Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
