About The Position

Greensboro Radiology is seeking a full-time fellowship trained IR Radiologist to support our growing practice in central North Carolina. The ideal candidate is fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology, but also capable of reading non-subspecialty diagnostic imaging and general fluoroscopy for diagnostic radiology shift coverage when needed (approximately 85% IR/15% non-IR). Greensboro Radiology supports multiple health systems through a full range IR case mix, including biopsies, drains, venous access, venous thrombolysis/thrombectomy, pulmonary thrombolysis, IVC filter placement/retrieval, peripheral arteriograms with occasional interventions, mesenteric stenting, biliary intervention, nephrostomy tubes, gastrostomy tubes, spine injections, TIPS, BRTO, TACE, Y90, ablation and many others. This opportunity is a full-time, partnership track position. Overnight and weekend call is shared equitably among section (currently 9 IR radiologists). Greensboro Radiology also employees a large section of PAs and NPs that assist with inpatient consultations and select procedures. In addition to supporting inpatients at local hospitals, the IR section also staff outpatient IR clinics with dedicated clinic staff. Commencement and Relocation bonuses are included. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Residency trained in an ACGME Accredited Diagnostic Radiology Program.
  • ABR or AOBR Board-certified / board-eligible.
  • Completed a one-year post-residency fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
  • Preferred licensure in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Support a full range of IR case mix including biopsies, drains, venous access, and more.
  • Read non-subspecialty diagnostic imaging and general fluoroscopy as needed.
  • Participate in overnight and weekend call shared among the IR section.
  • Assist with inpatient consultations and select procedures alongside PAs and NPs.
  • Staff outpatient IR clinics with dedicated clinic staff.
