About the position

The Interventional Radiology Tech III position at OU Medical Center is an advanced-level lead role responsible for coordinating clinical and non-clinical duties in delivering specialized cardiovascular and radiologic technology services to diverse patient populations. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards while supporting medical staff in diagnosing and treating complex conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competencies required for a Level II position.
• Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various settings.
• Act as a shift or team lead to coordinate workflow and operations.
• Assist in developing clinical protocols and performing image quality reviews.
• Serve as a departmental preceptor to mentor new or less experienced team members.
• Audit and verify post-study reviews for compliance with protocols and standards.
• Coordinate quality control, safety, and environment of care checks.
• Plan and lead continuing education and professional development activities.
• Prepare and present in-service training relevant to the service area.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher (Bachelor's preferred).
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program in cardiovascular or radiologic technology.
• Two years full-time experience as a certified or registered professional in the primary specialty.
• At least one year full-time experience in post-primary specialties required by the hiring department.
• Current ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI credentials in the required specialty upon hire or advancement.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
