About the position

The Interventional Radiology Technologist at Menorah Medical Center plays a crucial role in performing interventional procedures, including routine and complex arterial and venous interventions. This position requires a commitment to patient safety and quality improvement while working in a dynamic healthcare environment. The technologist will collaborate with a dedicated team to provide exceptional care and support to patients, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete interventional procedures including routine arterial and venous interventional procedures and contrast studies.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.
  • Comply with safety and infection control guidelines as per established policies and procedures.
  • Work in accordance with JCAHO, State, or other regulatory or accreditation agencies in the performance of duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of a two-year or four-year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in interventional procedures.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) certification or registry eligible with completion of examination within 9 months of hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one-year hospital department experience in arterial and venous interventional radiology.
  • Ability to accurately complete interventional requisitions for examinations performed.
  • Experience with Radiology information systems to obtain previous examination reports.
  • Ability to correctly and safely operate interventional equipment including contrast injectors.

Nice-to-haves
