About the position

The Interventionist position at ARCh is designed to provide 1:1 community-based support and guidance to individuals aged 4-22. This role is pivotal in developing programs that focus on emotional regulation and independent living skills, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention tailored to their unique needs. The ARCh program is committed to fostering community inclusion, self-determination, and individualized growth for people with developmental disabilities and/or emotional disturbances. As an Interventionist, you will play a crucial role in empowering these individuals to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. In this position, you will be responsible for providing a broad spectrum of services aimed at educating individuals on essential life skills. You will develop and initiate skill-building activities that are engaging and effective, utilizing your strong judgment skills for crisis intervention when necessary. The role requires excellent time management abilities, as you will be working with up to 10 families per week, ensuring that each family receives the attention and support they need. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, with working hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is classified as non-exempt under union regulations. The starting pay for this role is $20.00 per hour, with a competitive salary offered based on experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A combination of experience and education will be considered
  • De-escalation skills
  • Time management as this position can be working with up to 10 families per week
  • Valid driver's License and use of a personal vehicle
