About the position

The Android QA Automation Engineer at Insight Global is responsible for designing and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile and web applications. This role focuses on ensuring quality and performance through end-to-end testing, utilizing tools such as Appium and Selenium, and requires expertise in Java/JavaScript. The engineer will also troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and recommend solutions while performing performance tests and validating database structures.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automation frameworks using Appium and Selenium.
• Conduct end-to-end testing on mobile and web applications.
• Troubleshoot system issues and analyze root causes.
• Perform performance tests using LoadRunner and JMeter.
• Document testing results and identify bottlenecks.
• Validate database structures and queries as part of the testing process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
• Proficient in mobile application testing (Android).
• Extensive experience with Appium and Selenide.
• Skilled in Java and JavaScript.
• Expertise in cross-browser and device testing using BrowserStack or similar tools.
• Experience in enhancing and setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools like App Center and Bitrise.
• Experience developing and implementing automation frameworks.
• Prior experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, and JUnit.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior knowledge working with React Native.
