About the position

The Azure Data Engineer will play a crucial role in developing a comprehensive data warehouse backbone for the organization. This position involves collaborating with architects to streamline processes, creating data pipelines, writing SQL queries, and extracting data from existing databases. The role requires effective communication skills to work with various teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a data warehouse backbone from end-to-end.
• Work with architects to streamline data processes.
• Create data pipelines and queries.
• Write SQL queries from scratch.
• Compare data and write analysis reports.
• Extract data from existing databases.
• Utilize Azure Databricks and ETL tools.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python or SQL for engineering and scientific calculations.
• Experience with relational databases and query authoring (SQL).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and creating end-to-end pipelines.
• Experience in building and optimizing complex queries.
• Proven experience with data engineering technologies like ADLS, Azure Databricks, ADF, Azure SQL, Synapse, or AWS.
• Experience with scripting languages such as YAML, PowerShell, or Terraform.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Azure.
