About the position

The Software Quality Engineering Manager will lead a remote software testing team responsible for all QA/QE efforts related to the client's back-of-house application for restaurants. This role involves close collaboration with development and product teams to refine stories and facilitate Agile ceremonies. The manager will oversee a team of 8, focusing on improving velocity, tracking new releases, and identifying areas for process improvement, while also scaling the automation footprint over the next year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a software testing team of 8 members, including 5 manual testers and 3 automation engineers.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to refine related stories and assist in leading Agile ceremonies.
• Manage and delegate work across the team to improve velocity and efficiency.
• Track new releases and identify areas for process improvement.
• Scale and grow the automation footprint, aiming to complete automation development within the next year.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading software quality engineering/testing teams.
• 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
• Background in automation engineering/SDET prior to leadership roles.
• Strong background in UI and REST API testing.
• Experience with Postman, Selenium/Playwright (UI automation) and other related tools.
• JavaScript/TypeScript development skills.
• Extensive Jira skills.
• Restaurant/ecommerce experience.
• MS SQL skills.
