About the position

As the Inventory and Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in the operations of a company that specializes in designing and building custom equipment and systems. This position offers a competitive salary of up to $85,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating inventory management processes, administering the ERP system, and analyzing inventory stock levels to ensure optimal performance. You will be tasked with optimizing reorder points and managing vendor and supplier relationships to negotiate purchasing agreements that secure the best prices and terms for each purchase. In this role, you will submit purchase orders and conduct quality checks on received products and materials, ensuring that all items meet the company's standards. You will also facilitate the return of materials as necessary and collaborate with internal teams to identify and onboard new suppliers. A significant part of your job will involve hiring, training, and onboarding new team members, serving as a resource for both new and existing employees. You will run routine and special reports, conduct various analyses, and contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, you will handle special projects and perform other duties as assigned, making this a dynamic and engaging position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing management, inventory management, inventory analysis, and demand planning, along with project management skills. A Bachelor's degree is required, and experience with any ERP system is a significant plus. This position is located in Franklin Park, IL, close to O'Hare Airport, and is a full-time role with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
