About the position

The Inventory Analyst/Operations Lead position at Beemac Port Services is a critical role within our 24/7 operational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory management and ensuring operational excellence at our facility located in Leetsdale, PA. This position requires a flexible schedule, as hours may vary, and includes on-call and overtime responsibilities. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but candidates must be prepared for potential changes in shifts. The facility is unheated and non-air-conditioned, which means employees will be exposed to the elements year-round. Therefore, reliable transportation is essential for commuting to and from work. In this role, the Inventory Analyst will be tasked with reconciling inventory and performing data entry, as well as pre-billing invoices. Safety and environmental considerations are paramount, and the candidate will need to demonstrate ownership and dedication to quality while supervising material handling operations. Responsibilities will include reading work orders, guiding loading crews, and facilitating the labor crew in loading and offloading materials to and from various transport methods, including barges, trucks, cranes, railcars, and yard operations. The role also emphasizes customer satisfaction and maintaining a strong safety culture among team members, ensuring compliance with company and client safety rules. Candidates must be self-motivated, quick-thinking, and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds. A commitment to performing tasks in a timely and safe manner is essential, as is the ability to lift up to 65 lbs frequently. Responsibilities

  • Reconcile inventory and perform data entry.
  • Pre-bill invoices accurately and timely.
  • Operate with safety and environmental priorities as the highest concern.
  • Supervise material handling operations with a focus on quality.
  • Read work orders and guide loading crews effectively.
  • Facilitate labor crew in loading and offloading materials to and from various transport methods.
  • Build barges as required.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Maintain and develop a safety culture among all team members.
  • Report equipment safety deficiencies immediately.
  • Maintain and use appropriate PPE when outside the office.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have a flexible schedule.
  • Experience using MS Office software, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Relevant recent work history in inventory management or operations.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs frequently.
  • Ability to work in areas with full exposure to the elements year-round.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work well with team members from different backgrounds and needs.
  • Must be able to work independently with periodic guidance.
  • Must perform tasks in a timely and safe manner.
