About the position

The Inventory Analyst at Signode is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory management. This role involves analyzing inventory data, forecasting demand, and collaborating with various teams to implement inventory control procedures and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory and investigate discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Report manufacturing production in ERP system, troubleshooting any discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and develop strategies to optimize.
  • Implement strategies to manage and reduce excess inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing team to identify and minimize stockouts.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock and efficient inventory flow.
  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels and trends to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain inventory forecasting models to predict demand and facilitate accurate inventory planning.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to management on inventory performance and trends.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in inventory management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory management and recommend relevant changes to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with inventory management software (ERP/MRP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory control best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • APICS - CPIM certification a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
