About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, analyzing data trends, and ensuring optimal stock levels across our distribution center. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to enhance inventory management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain global inventory management strategies aligned with SIOP objectives, considering consumption reports, production schedules, and service level targets.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through continued analysis of inventory levels and cycle counts.
  • Support and lead regular inventory audits as assigned by management.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure inventory levels are aligned with target service level agreement (SLA).
  • Analyze and adjust inventory turnover rates, inventory costs, and consumption patterns to implement optimization techniques and balance stock availability with cost-efficiency.
  • Determine appropriate safety stock levels for different products and regions to safeguard against TOS major SKUs.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track inventory metrics, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance inventory planning processes, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices.
  • Become familiar with all logistics tasks, policies and procedures and offer hands-on assistance to the logistics team as a back-up resource.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management and proven experience in supply chain best practices.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools - NetSuite.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize inventory planning.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Problem-solving orientation with a proactive approach to addressing inventory-related challenges.
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding the best practices and strategies to engage while managing global inventory and providing recommendations to the team.
