About the position

The Inventory and Logistics Manager at St. Julian Winery plays a crucial role in overseeing the flow of wine production from vineyard to customer. This position requires a blend of operational expertise and a passion for the wine industry, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and that all logistical processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and beverage production, contributing to the legacy of Michigan's oldest and largest family-owned winery.

Responsibilities

• Develop inventory control systems to track every bottle, cork, and case, ensuring smooth production and preventing stock issues.
• Use inventory data to predict trends, plan reorders, and ensure each vintage's smooth journey from production to customer.
• Partner with suppliers and negotiate deals that keep our shelves stocked while staying on budget.
• Work with winemaking, sales, and warehouse teams to keep everything aligned, from grape to glass.
• Process distributor orders, arrange deliveries, and coordinate bulk shipments with other wineries, ensuring timely product delivery.
• Handle billing, invoices, and inventory reconciliations, working closely with the CFO to maintain top-notch inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Five or more years in manufacturing, with customer service expertise.
• An associate's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in inventory management software.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and beverage production is a bonus.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP.
• Proven results in inventory control, managing product recall processes, and meeting shipping deadlines.
